Occasionally, you may need to combine or adjust multiple invoice requests. In finway, there are specific system guidelines for handling these scenarios.

📌 At a Glance

  • No Direct Merging: Two existing invoice requests cannot be directly merged or re-linked within the system.

  • Subscription Requests: Invoice requests related to subscriptions are automatically generated and permanently tied to the respective subscription.

  • Recommended Workaround: Adjust one request to cover the total amount and delete the duplicate request.

🚫 Why Direct Merging Is Not Supported

To maintain audit trails and proper accounting logic, finway does not support merging two active requests into one. This applies to standard invoice requests as well as automated subscription invoices.

🛠️ Recommended Workaround: How to Combine Requests

If you need to consolidate multiple requests, follow these steps:

  1. Adjust the Amount: Select one of the requests and update its total amount so that it covers the combined sum of all invoices.

  2. Upload the Combined Invoice: Attach the complete/consolidated invoice document to this remaining request.

  3. Link Transactions: Assign all relevant transactions to this request.

  4. Delete the Redundant Request: Delete the second request that is no longer needed.

Recommendation: Archive not needed request instead of deleting them and add a comment of course.
