Global Insights: AI-Powered Financial Reports and Dashboards with lazyfox
With Global Insights, administrators and finance professionals gain deeper insights into their company’s expenses quickly, automatically, and presented in a clear, organized manner. Through our integrated partner solution lazy-fox.ai, you’ll have access to pre-built dashboards and flexible analysis tools that enable you to make informed financial decisions without the need for manual reporting.
Requirements & Access
To use Global Insights, you need:
An active finway user account.
Administrator rights
Note on Settings: Your language settings (German/English), currency, and time zone are automatically imported from your finway profile.
System admin rights are not tied to financial responsibility. Accordingly, system admins do not have access to Global Insights. What matters here are admin rights within the relevant client.
Getting Started & Login
Access is seamless via Single Sign-On (SSO) directly from finway:
Log in to finway as usual.
Click the Global Insights menu item in the left-hand tab.
You will be automatically redirected to lazy-fox.ai and logged in. You do not need separate login credentials.
If the automatic login fails:
Go directly to the login page at app.lazy-fox.ai/login.
If you’re logged in to finway, click “Sign in with finway”.
Alternatively, enter your finway URL, your email address, and your finway password.
Company Filters & Consolidation (Multi-Entity)
After your first login, you can use the Filter dropdown menu to specify which company data you want to analyze:
Single View: Select a specific company to obtain isolated analyses.
Consolidated View (Multi-Company): Select multiple companies. The values are automatically aggregated across all selected entities and displayed cumulatively.
Customize & Use Dashboards
In the sidebar, you’ll find preconfigured dashboards (Expense Overview, Cost Centers 1, and Cost Centers 2).
Personal Layout Customizations
Rename Dashboard: Click the pencil icon in the top-right corner to give the dashboard a custom name.
Organize Tiles: Easily move charts and tables using drag-and-drop or adjust their size. Then click Save.
Reset: Use the Reset button to restore the default layout at any time.
Your layout and name customizations are personal and do not affect the view of other administrators.
Filter & Sort Tables Individually
Within the data tables, you can:
Sort columns in ascending or descending order.
Pin important columns to the left (pin).
Show or hide columns and rename column headers.
Data Refresh & Export
Refresh Data: Click Refresh to retrieve the most up-to-date data (e.g., before important meetings or reports). Next to the button, you’ll see the exact timestamp of the last cache update.
Export Reports: Each chart and table can be downloaded individually:
Excel (.xlsx): Contains the visible table data as well as the corresponding graphical visualizations.
CSV (.csv): Exports the table view only.
The export currently includes exactly the aggregated data and values visible in the respective tile. You can still download complete raw data exports as usual via the finway Dashboard (the “All” tab).
Data Basis & Calculation Logic
To ensure the reliability of the reports, the following standards apply:
Included requests: Only requests with the status Paid or Exported are included. Drafts or deleted requests are ignored.
Period and Date Mapping:
If specified, the stored Performance Period is used.
If no performance period is defined, the required field Performance Date is automatically used.

Can I create my own, completely new dashboards?
Currently, optimized standard dashboards are available, and you can customize their layout and table display. The ability to create completely custom free-form dashboards is planned for future versions.Is all detailed data from the requests exported during a CSV export?
The export currently includes exactly the aggregated data and values visible in the respective tile. You can still download complete raw data exports as usual via the finway main area.In which languages is Global Insights available?
The menu navigation and settings are available in German and English. Individual dashboard headings and chart descriptions are currently displayed in English by default.Can I view the data in a different currency?
Yes. To do so, change the default currency in your finway user profile under “User Settings.”
