Dashboard Update: Approver

We've optimized our dashboard for you – thanks to your valuable feedback!

From now on, you can immediately see in the to-do overview who is next in line to approve. This saves time, creates clarity, and ensures greater transparency in the approval process.

We’ve also revised how request numbers are displayed: each request number now appears only once – instead of being shown twice as before. This makes the dashboard cleaner and more user-friendly.

ℹ️ The optimized dashboard is now available in our mobile app.

New SEPA XML Format now available ( pain.001.001.09)

We now offer the latest SEPA XML format pain.001.001.09 for your payments.

Version pain.001.001.09 is more modern, future-proof, and functionally richer than the previous version. Switching to .09 is recommended if your bank requires it - for example, by no longer supporting the older version.

The reliable format pain.001.001.03 will remain active by default.

The main difference: .09 includes a single "Payment Information" group (tag: <PmtInf>). As a result, the total amount is processed as one bundled transfer - also known as a "batch payment" or "collective payment" - requiring only one approval.

You can activate the SEPA XML format pain.001.001.09 in your settings under Feature Settings.

ℹ️ Please contact Support to activate the SEPA XML version pain.001.001.09.

Improved email forwarding of invoices

Thanks to a technical update, email attachments are now identified and handled more effectively. This means that up to 90% of previously failed forwards of invoices are now processed successfully.

Additional MIME types are now supported in the background, allowing for broader recognition of file formats.

What is a MIME Type?

A MIME type tells you what kind of file or content something is – for example:

File

MIME Type

Meaning

document.pdf

application/pdf

This is a PDF file

image.jpg

image/jpeg

This is a JPEG image

text.txt

text/plain

This is a plain text file

data.bin

binary/octet-stream

Some kind of binary file (unknown)

Why is this important?

When you forward a file via email, the MIME type helps finway understand how the file should be handled:

  • PDF file → Display in the browser

  • Image → Open in an image viewer

  • Unknown → Might just be downloaded

ℹ️ The MIME type tells the computer what to do with the file.

MIME types supported by finway email forwarding:

  • application/pdf

  • binary/octet-stream

  • application/octet

  • application/pdfa

  • wildcard

  • text/plain

If you have observed the above points and the forwarding still does not work, please feel free to contact our support!

New name "Transfer via bank connection"

"Direct bank transfer" is now called "Transfer via bank connection".

Your feedback matters – many of our customers associated the term “Direct bank transfer” with an instant transfer. To avoid confusion, we have therefore adjusted the name. An instant transfer is not possible directly from finway; this must be done via a standard bank transfer. This way, you can more easily and clearly recognize the type of transfer at a glance and top up your wallet using your regular bank account – without any confusion.

KYB verification deadline

To avoid error messages during the KYB process, please verify your email address and mobile phone number immediately.

You can now view this information clearly within your KYB process.

⚠️ Please note: You must verify your email address and mobile phone number immediately. Otherwise, the process will be technically blocked and cannot proceed.
